WHO WE ARE
April and Sarah are both registered nurses by training with extensive expertise in quality improvement. April brings 13 years of experience with patient safety and surgical outcomes improvement work. She has been involved with multiple CQIs and database registries. Sarah has led quality improvement efforts for the last four years as a Program Evaluation Specialist for the Michigan Surgical Quality Collaborative (MSQC). Her past roles also include postoperative nursing care and clinical documentation improvement. Kirsten graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2017 and brings her passion for public health and women’s health to the team. Together, they oversee data management at the OBI Coordinating Center and coordinate with the Clinical Data Abstractors (CDAs) at the OBI member hospitals to ensure optimal data collection.
WHAT WE DO
The Data Management Team ensures OBI’s data accuracy and integrity by providing the Clinical Data Abstractors (CDAs) with the tools and knowledge needed for optimal data collection and reporting.
HOW WE CAN HELP
We provide technical assistance, data abstraction training, and data collection tools and resources.
