On Friday, November 7, the Obstetrics Initiative (OBI) proudly presented the 2025 OBI Awards at our Fall Semiannual Meeting, celebrating outstanding achievements in childbirth care across Michigan. These awards honor hospital teams whose commitment and expertise have measurably advanced the quality, outcomes, and experience of care for families statewide.
With more than 65 hospital partners, OBI is a Collaborative Quality Initiative (CQI) that harnesses the power of multidisciplinary teamwork to drive meaningful, lasting change. Through data-driven, evidence-based improvement activities, we are leading a transformational movement—optimizing resources, enriching hospital culture, and enhancing the safety and experience of childbirth for all.
